Be Your Own Sunshine

by Sunday, April 10, 2016

Monday morning, its 7 o’clock the shrill tone of my alarm shook me from my sweet slumber and jolted me back to reality. The to-dos of my day flashed before my eyes and I sprung out of bed. I have a yoga class, need to grab my breakfast and dash to the office for an important meeting followed by a heavy day at work.

At noon, I suddenly remembered that it’s my mum’s birthday and I just forgot to wish her. That’s when I realized that in this manic rush, I am ignoring all the precious little things, which give me immense happiness.

In today’s hectic times, all of us are in a mad rush; we have a hundred odd things to do, we are constantly fighting against time trying to meet deadlines. In this chaotic situation, we all need to just take a step back and create our own sunshine moments.

Talking of sunshine, recently I was invited to view Global Desi’s new spring summer collection #BeYourOwnSunshine. The vibrant colors, Indian inspired prints with western cuts and silhouettes just floored me. I picked up a bright red long tunic with small motifs, with mid riff and side slits. I created two looks, one for a casual affair and the other for a formal outing.

For the casual fun look, I paired it with Ultramarine blue shorts. To give it a quirky edge, I wore my beaded neckpiece around my wrist like a bracelet. My strappy block heels completed the look.

Tunic – Global Desi, Shorts – Forever 21, Shoes – Charles & Keith

For the formal outing, I teamed the tunic with my blue wide legged trousers. I finished the look with an ethnic potli clutch and a pair of grey heels.

Ladies! From your crazy schedule make some “me” time and go back to your forgotten hobbies and all the things that you enjoy doing.

 Don’t just exist, start living!

Please give me your feedback about the content on this blog, I would really appreciate it.

Love, Nat

Thanks Aparna! The Pants are from zara. However, Global desi also has similar palazzos. :)
